Trip to California - December 2014

Even though I am not writing this on the last day of the year, I am considering this my last post for the year of 2014 (hence the date above)! I went to California for the holidays and though it was a bit crazy, I am so happy that I went!

My sister needed head shots for an application and guess who was lucky enough to take them? 

Isn't she gorgeous?!

And of course I had to get one of my beautiful best friend!

On my birthday,  my family gave me exactly what I wanted...a trip to the mountains! Living in SC is 

hard because there are NO mountains to be seen! It was so much fun getting to go up to the mountains 

where I spent my childhood camping and hiking.

 The next day we met up with the Johnson clan at the Los Angeles Temple. 

I had never seen this temple in person, so it was a real treat! 

After Christmas, Nick and I flew out to NorCal to see some more of my family. We had lots of adventures including:

Hiking up some beautiful hills!

And sight-seeing at the Golden Gate Bridge! I had driven over the bridge many times on my visits to see my family, but I had never seen it this full and this close up! It was AMAZING!

Overall, my trip to the West Coast was unbelievable. I am so blessed to have such an amazing family and amazing life. Love you all! Happy 2015!

Monday Fun-Day: Walking in Charleston - Battery Park

On Monday, Laurel and I went to Charleston in hopes of seeing some nice Christmas decorations. Unfortunately there was tons of traffic and almost no decorations. I guess our excitement for Christmas was a little premature for the people in Charleston. At least we had some fun walking around Battery Park!

Thanksgiving 2014

This Thanksgiving was absolutely wonderful! I spent all day hanging out with my husband and in-laws. I made my first homemade pumpkin and chocolate pies, had my father-in-law's amazing pizza next to a warm fire, and walked around the property taking random pictures! I loved it!
